Hospital Alli Causai has been recognised in Ecuador and Latin America for its excellence in laboratory diagnosis of tuberculosis. We perform MODS, smear test, culture and sensitivity, in addition to the PPD test.
Our laboratory is a reference lab, recognised by the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador. Currenlty, it is the only laboratory in Ecuador that performs MODS, a technique that significantly reduces the diagnosis time of tuberculosis (it detects the presence of TB usually within an incubation period of 5-10 days compared to 6 weeks with the standard procedure).
We offer quality control to other labs and also training/consultants in the area of tuberculosis.
